Universal polyester filler with metal powder
Polyester filler with metal powder
- Product code: METAL-FILL
- Pack: 192 gr
- Category: Putty and filler for metals, plastic, carbon in pot or tube
Product Description
Polyester filler with metal powder, to be applied by spatula after carefully mixing the product with the hardener (according to proportions).
This filler has a lamellar structure which ensures adhesion even on the most difficult surfaces. It is excellent for the reconstruction of corroded metal parts, rusty wheel arches or to fix of pieces by threading of the hardened filler.
Particularly suitable for threading work, this product can be shaped with an abrasive disc once hardened. It is ideal for recreating damaged threads in pieces such as engines, engine oil cups, mechanical parts or agricultural machinery. The filler can be shaped after about 30 minutes for a room/metal temperature of 17-30°C or after 50 minutes if it is 10-17°C.
Paste filler, composed of unsaturated polyester resins, inert mineral and metallic extenders which guarantee it high hardness and resistance.
Suitable surfaces: Steel, cast iron, aluminium, light alloys, zinc plated steel and fiberglass free of detaching agents.
Not suitable surfaces: Wash primer, epoxy primers with phenolic hardeners, thermoplastic varnishes, solvent sensitive primers. Copper and its alloys must be previously treated with a non-phenolic or acid cured adhesion primer.
Application:
- Surfaces to be filled must be dry, degreased, roughed and free of existing paints.
- To use the filler, add the hardener to the filler according to the room temperature and the requested gel time (Temperature up to 15°C (59°F.) = 3 to 100 by weight - Temperature over 15°C (59°F.) = 2 to 100 by weight).
- Avoid to apply when temperature is below + 10°C (50°F)
