Protective K300 Gloss Clear Coat for Bodywork in Spray can

The 1K K300 Clear Coat is one of the most reliable single-component clear coats in its category. Its formulation is designed to complete metallic and pearl double-layer paints, which naturally dry matt and require a clear coat capable of ensuring gloss and an excellent final finish.

Although it is a single-component product, K300 guarantees good scratch resistance, does not yellow over time, and provides effective protection against UV rays, helping preserve the original appearance of the paint.
The practical spray format makes it easy to apply and it's ideal for touch-ups and small surfaces.

When to choose it:

• If you need to work on small scratches or targeted touch-ups, where a light and easy-to-manage finish is sufficient.
• When the job requires multiple applications over time, avoiding the limitations of a 2K clear coat which, once activated, would harden too quickly.
• Whenever you prefer a thinner finish compared to polyurethane clear coats, while still maintaining a clean result without excessive build-up.
• If you want to save money by choosing a valid but more affordable alternative to two-component systems.

How to apply it

1. Shake the spray can well for several minutes.
2. Keep the product at a temperature of 20-25°C for optimal performance.
3. Spray the clear coat evenly using cross coats, maintaining a distance of approximately 15-20 cm.
4. To avoid runs, apply thin coats with close passes, allowing 15-20 minutes between coats. 2 to 3 coats of clear coat are recommended.
5. Apply the clear coat over paint that is not completely dry, in order to promote perfect fusion between the two layers. Ideally, apply the clear coat when the metallic paint loses its wet appearance and begins to turn matt.
6. For greater precision, you can use the universal spray can handle, which improves control during application.

Helpful tips:

• Make sure the surface is properly covered with K300 clear coat: applying too little product may result, once dry, in a matt finish instead of a glossy one or in an unpleasant orange peel effect.
• It is better to apply one extra coat rather than one too few, to ensure optimal gloss and protection.
• Always consider using at least the same amount of clear coat as the amount of paint used for the job: the quantity of clear coat should never be lower than the base color (however, if you use a 2K clear coat, the proportions between color and clear coat can remain equivalent, since the product has a different thickness and yield).
