Solid colors are direct gloss paints, meaning they already have a shiny finish and do not necessarily require a clear coat. They can be produced as either single-component (1K) or two-component (2K) versions, the latter already containing a hardener.
Metallic and pearlescent colors, on the other hand, require a two-layer system. After applying the matte base coat, it is essential to add a clear finish?either glossy or matte?to achieve the desired effect and ensure protection and durability over time.
