Product Description
Automotive paint with a direct gloss finish in a 100 ml touch-up jar. Color G2 Rojo Tornado Solid for SEAT ALTEA XL.
Thanks to our digital tinting system, we can accurately reproduce the color based on the original paint code, meeting the highest standards of precision.
Solid colors, meaning those available in a direct gloss finish, are single-component (1K) paints that air dry and do not necessarily require the application of a clear coat. Once fully cured, they already achieve a gloss finish comparable to the original one.
Applying a protective clear coat is recommended. Although the paint already has a gloss finish, this does not mean it contains a built-in protective clear coat. Applying a 1K or 2K clear coat will further enhance the gloss while increasing the paint's resistance to scratches, weathering, UV rays, and chemicals.
How to apply the paint:
By brush
- Clean the surface with soap and water.
- If the scratch to be repaired is small and localized, there is no need to sand the surface. Apply the paint directly to the affected area, making sure to keep the brush within the edges of the scratch.
- If you need to repair several small scratches within the same area using a brush, it is better to lightly sand the entire area first and then clean it with anti-silicone cleaner.
- Apply the paint with a brush using very thin coats. It is better to apply one or two additional coats than to apply one heavy coat. Applying too much paint at once may cause it to build up, preventing it from flowing out properly and resulting in unsightly runs.
- If desired, a protective clear coat can be applied afterwards using a clear coat touch-up pen, brush, or spray.
By spray gun
- Clean the surface with soap and water.
- Sand the area to be painted using sandpaper of progressively finer grits. Start with a coarser grit (depending on the severity of the damage) and gradually move to a finer grit. Once the surface has been leveled, degrease it with anti-silicone cleaner.
- Thin the selected paint using either nitro thinner (recommended only during very cold weather) or polyurethane thinner (recommended during mild and warm weather).
Mixing ratio: 2 parts paint to 1-2 parts thinner (100 ml of paint + 50-100 ml of thinner). - Apply 2 to 3 coats until full coverage is achieved.
- A protective clear coat can be applied over the freshly painted surface, either with a spray gun or from a spray can.
Coverage: approximately 1 m² (based on paint thinned at a 2:1 ratio and applied with a spray gun).

Professional rubbing compound (not intended for DIY use) can be used no sooner than 15 days after the paint has fully cured to remove minor imperfections or level differences between the new and existing paint. We always recommend using water-based rubbing compounds, as particularly aggressive polishing products (such as solvent-based compounds) may damage the paintwork even long after it has fully cured.

Technical Details and Useful suggests: Note: The paint in the jar is ready to use. It can also be thinned for brush application, depending on the viscosity you wish to achieve. However, when applying it with a spray gun, thinning is almost essential. Otherwise, the paint may not flow properly through the nozzle, increasing the risk of clogging and causing an uneven spray pattern or unwanted runs. The more the paint is thinned, the lower the coverage achieved with each coat. In short, increasing the dilution reduces the covering power of each coat, meaning more coats will be required to achieve full coverage.
