Product description

Car touch-up paint kit for refinishing, consisting of:
  • 1 spray can of paint in the original color code 6Y Daytonagrau Metallicfor AUDI / VOLKSWAGEN A1
  • 1 spray can of 1K gloss clear coat (single-component)

Both the 1K clear coat and the paint can be used and stored over time. They do not require activation.

Why choose the kit?

All metallic automotive paints are two-layer systems and require a protective clear coat on top to match the original finish.

If the clear coat is not applied, the paint will appear dull and will be more prone to damage.
In order to choose the most suitable clear coat, it is possible to consult a detailed guide on clear coats .

Choosing the kit is more cost-effective compared to purchasing the individual products that compose it.

When should you choose Kit1?

The basic car touch-up kit is recommended:

  • When repairing relatively small areas (scratches, imperfections, or minor damage)
  • When you want to use the selected products multiple times
  • When you want a reliable product at an affordable price, avoiding costly body shop repainting
  • When you want to reproduce your car/motorbike color with a glossy finish, as if it was brand new

Application:

  1. Clean the surface with a silicone remover spray. If necessary, fill the affected areas and sand them smooth and level.
  2. Apply the chosen paint in thin coats, respecting the correct drying times between coats.
  3. Apply the 1K gloss clear coat.
  4. After a few days, if necessary, apply a polish or a fine abrasive compound to remove any imperfections.

How to apply the 1K clear coat:

  • The 1K clear coat does not require activation, so it can be used at any time.
  • It is important to shake the can well before and during its use.
  • Apply a first light tack layer. Then apply a second coat, ensuring the surface is properly wet. Finish with a third final coat.
  • Between each coat, wait until the previously applied layer becomes matte.
  • When it loses its wet look, it is ready for the next coat.

How to avoid common mistakes:

  • Be careful! It is essential to properly wet the surface with the clear coat, especially when using a 1K clear coat.
  • A common mistake is thinking that less clear coat is needed compared to paint. This is not the case.
  • If it is not applied enough product, or if it is sprayed from too far away, the surface may not be properly wetted. As a result, the clear coat may turn dull instead of glossy.

Specific technical notes and warnings

If you purchase a metallic paint with a matte finish, the protective clear coat must still be applied to achieve the correct result.
It is therefore recommended to choose a 1K matte clear coat (not included in this kit).

Ormai tante aziende spediscono gratis, senza alcun costo di spedizione. Pagare 8,50 ? di spedizione su un ordine di 35 ? circa è spropositato a mio modesto avviso... È pari al 25% circa ! Sono consapevole che i costi li definisce la compagnia a cui vi rivolgete per affidare il trasporto della vs merce ma a questo punto occorre cambiare gli accordi o compagnia di spedizione per il bene dei vs clienti. Vorrei fare un altro lavoretto di ritocco sulla mia Yaris, con gli stessi identici prodotti, riconfermando il medesimo ordine, ma sono tentato per gli eccessivi costi di spedizione sostenuti la volta scorsa. Cmq per il resto siete fortissimi e i video tutorial on line del carrozziere Flavio Tuttofare esaustivi al massimo. Saluti
