Product Description

Car touch-up paint kit for refinishing, consisting of:

• 1 spray can of paint in the original color code p7y flash silver met.for AUDI / VOLKSWAGEN SIROCCO
• 1 spray can of 2K gloss clear coat (two-component)

The 2K clear coat spray must be activated at the time of use and used within 24-48 hours. It provides a high-gloss, high-solid finish.
The paint, on the other hand, can be stored and reused over time.

Why choose the kit?

All metallic automotive paints are two-layer systems and require a protective clear coat on top to match the original finish.

If the clear coat is not applied, the paint will appear dull and will be more prone to damage.

Choosing the kit is more cost-effective compared to purchasing the individual products that compose it.

When should you choose Kit2?

The professional car touch-up kit is recommended:

• When repairing relatively large areas
• When you want to achieve a professional, body-shop-quality result
• When you want a highly glossy and very durable finish

Application:

1. Clean the surface with a silicone remover spray. If necessary, fill the affected areas and sand them smooth and level.
2. Apply the chosen paint in thin coats, respecting the correct drying times between coats.
3. Apply the 1K gloss clear coat.
4. After a few days, if necessary, apply a polish or a fine abrasive compound to remove any imperfections.

How to apply the 2K clear coat:

• The clear coat must be activated at the time of use; otherwise, after 24-48 hours the activated product will begin to cure inside the spray can.
• Apply a first light tack coat. Then apply a second coat, ensuring the surface is properly wetted. If necessary, apply a third light "dust coat."
• It is important to respect the correct application times for the 2K clear coat. You can proceed in two ways:
  • Option 1: after applying the first coat, wait approximately 30-60 minutes before applying the next layer, and follow the same timing for any additional coats.
  • Option 2: allow the first coat to fully cure (24 hours). After 24 hours, lightly sand the surface again, then apply the second coat.
• Be careful! If you use intermediate timing between these two options, you risk creating an undesirable orange peel effect.
• For example: if you apply the second coat 6 hours after the first, the first coat will be partially cured (between initial and full drying), while the second coat will begin surface drying.
  In this case, as the second coat dries faster than the underlying layer, it will tend to "pull" the lower layer, creating small ripples visible to the naked eye.

If you purchase a metallic paint with a matte finish, the protective clear coat must still be applied to achieve the correct result.
It is therefore recommended to choose a 2K matte clear coat (not included in this kit).
